ProShield Security is operated by Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud, Sole Trader (ABN 48 613 124 254), Brisbane & Gold Coast, Queensland. We stand behind the Guardian smart lock and our installation work with the warranties below.

3-year product warranty

The Guardian smart lock is covered by a 3-year product warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, from the date of installation or delivery. If a defect arises during this period, we will repair or replace the affected product at no cost to you.

5-year workmanship warranty

Our installation work is covered by a 5-year workmanship warranty, from the date of installation. If an issue with the fitting or setup of your Guardian smart lock arises due to our workmanship within this period, we will return and fix it at no cost.

What is covered

• Manufacturing defects in the Guardian smart lock hardware and electronics.
• Failures in the installation workmanship carried out by our team.
• Issues caused by the setup and configuration performed during your installation.

What is not covered

• Damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, unauthorised modification, or third-party installation or repair.
• Normal wear and tear, or cosmetic damage not affecting function.
• Damage from extreme weather, flooding, fire, or other events outside our control.
• Issues arising from changes to your door, frame or home after installation.
• Software, app or account issues controlled by the lock manufacturer or your connected services.

How to make a warranty claim

• Contact us at info@proshieldau.com or 03 8820 1338 with your booking or order reference and a description of the issue.
• We will assess the claim and arrange a visit, repair or replacement as needed.
• Where a product is replaced, the replacement carries the balance of the original warranty period.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This warranty is provided in addition to those guarantees and does not limit your rights. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
